Czech Republic underwent significant changes in the past decades. At the regional level, however, this societal transformation manifested itself in a different way. Therefore, the main goal of this article is to analyze and evaluate the development in Moravian-Silesian region. The next goal is to monitor whether there were convergent or divergent tendencies within the teritorial development. To reach the goals of this contribution, coefficient of variation method was selected. The results indicate that there are largely divergent trends in the Moravian-Silesian region.
