The main objective of this report is to provide an overview of the particulate and gaseous emission components generated from small-scale residential solid fuel appliances and to understand the health and environmental effects of emission components. The aim is also to evaluate and select the most important combustion emission components to be measured based on their adverse effects on health and environment. The most important emission components could be included in the EU environmental regulations in the future. The focus is also to understand the importance of indoor airpollution from residential room heaters.
