Present work deals with the study of pellets pressed from polyaniline/montmorillonite (PANI/MMT) nanocomposite. PANI/MMT nanocomposite has been prepared using anilinium sulfate as a precursor and ammonium peroxodisulfate as an oxidizing agent. Solutionsof these reactants were mixed in presence of MMT powder (size fraction < 40 mikrom) and prepared powder materials were collected on the filter by rinsing with either water or hydrochloric acid. Finally the samples were dried in the kiln. Prepared powdersamples were pressed into pellets at room temperature, without any lubrication and binder. Moulding pressures from 50 up to 400 MPa were applied. Electrical conductivities of PANI/MMT pellets in the directions perpendicular and parallel to the applied pressure were studied in dependence on (1) presence/absence of hydrochloric acid and (2) applied pressure. Since the main goal of our study is to prepare a functional unit with high electrical anisotropy, the special attention has been paid
