Along with the economic miracle of the last few decades in the PRC, the level self-confidence displayed in its political and military engagements has been rising accordingly. The PRC has been employing more proactive stance in international politics, however it has also begun to pursue more aggressive responses towards territorial disputes and conflicts. This one-week intensive course brought together scholars and students of Chinese Studies and other related fields, to learn about and discuss possiblefuture developments in Asia with a focus on Chinese foreign policy, ethnic policies and regional security.
