The paper by Daniel Soukup and Lukáš Reitinger explores in detail the mid-14th-century Krumlov picture codex Liber depictus. It looks afresh at the question of the origin of this historical manuscript and, for the first time, examines it from the perspective of research into Jewish topics. The study provides an in-depth analysis of the scenes depicting Jews and places them in a broader context. As such, it significantly contributes to research into the clothing customs of the Jewish community in medieval Ashkenaz, or more specifically in the Bohemian lands.
