Anhand des Schriftstellers Franz Spunda (1890-1963) wird gezeigt, wie aus den Erfahrungen des Ersten Weltkriegs als Urkatastrophe der menschheit eine konservative Theorie entstand, deren Repräsentanten sich als "Dichterpriester" verstanden. Gegen den Abbau der ständischen Gesellschaft in den Republiken der Zwischenkirgeszeit setzten sie ein mystisches Modell von Herkunft - Aufbruch - Heimkehr, das sie mit religiösen, aber nicht mit konfessionell gebundenen Texten gesellschaftlich durchzusetzen suchten.Paradigmatische texte sind in dieser Hinsicht die theoretischen Abhandlungen Spundas, die sich auch in seinen phantastischen Romanen und Griechenlandessays widerspiegeln.

On the example of the writer Franz Spunda (1890-1963) will be shown how a conservative theory based on experiences from the World War I as the biggest catastrophy of humanity originated. The representatives of this theory presented themselves as poet-priesters. They wanted to fight against the dissolution of the estate-based society in the republics in the period between the Wars by a mystic model of origin - departure - homecoming which they tried to push through in the society in religious but not confessional texts. In this respect are Spunda's theoretical essays paradigmatic texts which are also reflected in his fantastic novels and Greek essays.
