The present system of archaeological monument care is fulfilled in region of the Central Moravia by the activity of the Archaeological Centre Olomouc, which was founded on January 1st, 2003 with the goal of saving the important parts of disappearing cultural heritage. Therefore it takes care about archaeological rescue excavations caused by construction works. It records and documents archaeological actions, finds and findspots, stores finds during their technical and professional processing, presents the excavation results to professional as well as non-professional public and cooperates with the other archaeological or cultural organizations and academic institutions. Research activities are also focused on interpretation of particular historical events in individual societies with the help of data obtained by archaeological excavations. The described platform allows to application of the same theoretical approach in other disciplines. Using methods of several disciplines enables integral cooperation in studies of settlement in particular region in the past. This discourse qualifies criteria of interdisciplinary research. Archaeological Centre Olomouc, therefore, offers the creation of a platform for interdisciplinary cooperation between experts in various disciplines concerning direct cooperation in field research and modelling of reconstruction procedures involving settlement and funerary activities.
