Il presente lavoro mira allo studio delle modalità con cui venivano formati i ricordi della Seconda guerra mondiale nelle serie a fumetti pubblicate negli anni ’70 e ’80 nei principali periodici per la gioventù e in generale nella stampa, ovvero come e attraverso cosa il fumetto per i giovani della così detta normalizzazione partecipava alla creazione della memoria collettiva/culturale all’interno della popcultura prodotta in modo “centralizzato” e condivisa in termini di massa. Nella prima parte, il contributo evidenzia il contesto politico, socio culturale, mediale e del genere narrativo per poi concentrarsi sulle modalità di formazione/costruzione della memoria collettiva/culturale (nazionale) attraverso la rappresentazione di incontri organizzati e istituzionalizzati con un testimone, che diviene nel contesto specifico sia “ideologo” mediale e mediato sia “propagandista” della memoria, ovvero soggetto che fornisce su richiesta/ordinazione l’interpretazione “corretta” degli avvenimenti bellici.

The paper focuses on the ways in which memories of World War II were made in comics series published in the 1970s and 1980s in mainstream periodicals for youth and in sections for youth in the general publications (magazines), i. e. how and what the comics for youth of the era of so-called normalization participated in the formation of collective/cultural memory within the &quot;centrally&quot; built mass-shared pop culture. The study first indicates political, socio-cultural, media and genre contexts, then focuses on the ways of shaping/constructing (national) collective/cultural memory through the representation of institutionalized meeting with a witness who in the given context also becomes mediated mediating &quot;ideologue&quot; or &quot;propagandist&quot; of memory, i. e. on request/order submitted &quot;right&quot; interpretation of war events.
