The theme of this study is the presentation and analysis of the anthropological triad of corpus, anima (spiritus), mens (ratio) and their connection with Paracelsus’s concept of the “tria prima” in the most famous work by the Leipzig physician and Paracelsian Heinrich Khunrath (1560–1605) Amphitheatrum sapientiae aeternae, solius, verae, christiano-kabalisticum, divino-magicum, nec non physico-chymicum, tertriunum catholicon, hence Theatre of eternal wisdom, the only real, Christian-Cabalistic, divine-magical, as well as physico-chemical, thrice tertriunum, Catholic (1st edition Hamburg 1595, 2nd edition Hanau 1609).
