In diesem Beitrag werden die besonderen politischen und kulturellen Beziehungen zwischen der Olmützer Gelehrtengesellschaft Societas incognitorum eruditorum in terris austriacis und der Regierung in der Wiener Metropole aufgezeigt. Kaiserin Maria Theresia und ihre aufgeklärten Berater hatten einerseits eine kontrollierende Funktion, unterstützen aber andererseits die Aktivitäten der mährischen Aufklärer gegen den dominierenden Einfluss der Jesuiten.

The article delas withe the Special political and cultural relations between the Learned society Societas incognitorum eruditorum in terris austriacis in Olomouc and the government in Vienna. The Empress Maria Theresia and her enligthened advisors not only had a controlling power on the members and acitvities of the Societas incognitorum, but also supported its commitment against the dominant influence of the Society of Jesus.
