Dans notre article, nous aborderons le transfert transatlantique du point de vue de l’écrivain français Guillaume Musso, qui s’inspire principalement des éléments de la culture populaire américaine dans ses romans policiers. Étant donné que la plupart de ses intrigues policières se déroulent entre la France et les États-Unis, l’auteur singularise ses œuvres en américanisant ses imaginaires et ses références pour unifier les environnements américain et français. Pour un meilleur aperçu de l’usage du transfert transatlantique dans ses fictions policières et dans l’histoire littéraire française en général, nous joignons à l’article un bref exemple de l’inspiration américaine des différents auteurs à travers les siècles, que nous comparerons au final avec une analyse de l’œuvre de l’auteur. Par le biais de cet article nous allons montrer comment Musso exploite l’effet exotique des procédés produisant une américanisation aux niveaux thématique, narratif et stylistique dans ses œuvres afin d’enrichir les standards de la littérature française avec ce travail de singularisation.

In our article, we will approach the transatlantic transfer from the point of view of the French writer Guillaume Musso, who draws primarily on elements of American popular culture in his detective novels. Given that most of his detective stories take place between France and the United States, the author distinguishes his works by Americanizing his imagination and his references to unify the American and French environments. For a better overview of the use of the transatlantic transfer in his detective fiction, as well as in French literary history in general, we attach to the article a brief example of the American inspiration of different authors through the centuries, which we will compare in the end with an analysis of the author’s work. Through this article we will show how Musso exploits the exotic effect of processes producing Americanization at the thematic, narrative and stylistic levels in his works, in order to enrich the standards of French literature with this work of singularization.
