Ce petit ouvrage explore les différentes conceptions du langage à l'oeuvre dans "Tintin" et montre comment ces dernières recouvrent des épistémè spécifiques pour chaque personnage: alors que le langage est miroir du monde pour Tintin, il devient conflit entre le signifié et le signifiant pour les Dupondt, Haddock et Tournesol, avant d'être un langage vide avec les nouveaux médias et deux personnages récurrents dans la dernière partie des aventures de Tintin: Séraphin Lampion d'une part, Bianca Castafiore de l'autre. Nous nous intéressons dans un deuxième temps à d'autres phénomènes langagiers touchant l'oeuvre d'Hergé: la question du langage animal, le caractère performatif du langage, les langues imaginaires et enfin la création onomastique.

This short book explores the different conceptions of language at work in "Tintin" and shows how they correspond to specific epistemes accordingo to each character: while language is a mirror of the world for Tintin, it becomes a conflict between the signified and the signifier for the Dupondt, Haddock and Tournesol, before becoming an empty language with the new media and two recurring characters of the last part of the adventures of Tintin: Séraphin Lampion on the one hand, Bianca Castafiore on the other. Secondly, we are interested in other linguistic phenomena affecting Hergé's comics: the question of animal language, the performative nature of language, imaginary languages and finally onomastic creation.
