This study examines the historical development and enduring influence of Letchworth, the world's first garden city, founded in 1903 by Ebenezer Howard. Through a critical analysis of archival materials and spatial mapping, this research elucidates how Letchworth's pioneering design—characterized by harmonious integration of urban amenities with rural landscapes—served as a model for sustainable urban planning. The investigation highlights key architectural contributions from Raymond Unwin and Barry Parker, while tracing the town's transformation over time. By exploring its evolution from an experimental community to a globally recognized exemplar of planned urban development, this work underscores Letchworth's significance in shaping modern urbanism.
