Der Aufsatz beschäftigt sich mit den Raum-Zeit-Konstellationen im Hinblick auf den medialen Wechsel des Tristan-Stoffes. Vor dem Hintergrund von Gottfrieds Tristan wird die neue Inszenierung von Wagners Tristan und Isolde auf der Bühne der Wiener Staatsoper diskutiert. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird den sogenannten Schwellenräumen gewidmet, wobei die Charakteristika von Bietos Regiekonzept herausgearbeitet werden.

The essay deals with the space-time constellations in relation to the media shift of the Tristan material. Against the backdrop of Gottfried's Tristan, the new staging of Wagner's Tristan and Isolde at the Vienna State Opera is discussed. Special attention is given to the so-called threshold spaces, and the characteristics of Bieto's directorial concept are highlighted.
