This closed workshop, organized by the UP EUVIP team, will explore the European Union’s values-based engagement with the Indo-Pacific region. The discussions will focus on the geopolitical and strategic dynamics involving China, ASEAN, AUKUS, and the Quad. The workshop features lectures by EUVIP members and distinguished guest speakers, addressing key themes such as China’s foreign policy dilemmas, European geopolitical ambitions, and the evolving nature of strategic alliances in the Indo-Pacific. Keynote speeches and panel discussions will analyze the EU’s normative diplomacy, its engagement with India, and Sino-Western competition in the region. The event will also include opportunities for academic collaboration, with sessions on research funding and project development.
