The artist draws inspiration from the grammar of comics and graphic novels, aiming to expand the narrative vocabulary traditionally associated with this medium. By exploring themes such as gender, sexuality, memory, and urbanism, their work seeks to challenge conventional representations. Formally, some pieces merge architectural representation with sequential narrative techniques, prompting a reevaluation of these methods and offering innovative ways to depict space, time, and the body.In 2020, the artist published two graphic novels: Apsara Engine, a collection of eight short stories released by The Feminist Press, and Spellbound, a graphic memoir published by Street Noise Books. Their comics have appeared in notable publications including The New Yorker and VICE, and they received the Xeric grant in 2003 for their collection Angel.
