The article explains the structure of the Czech legal order and basic constitutional principles. Further, the institutions of the Czech Republic, including courts and central and other administrative authorities, are presented and their organizational arrangements and their functions explained. The author also explains the existence of territorial self-government. Last but not least, the article mentions the basic sources of the law of the legal branches of the Czech legal system and refers to related literature.
