The chapter deals with the national raw materials policy of the Czech Republic, which is a basic strategic instrument in the field of protection and use of mineral resources. The author presents Act No. 88/2021 Sb. amending Act No. 44/1988 Sb. regulating the protection and use of mineral wealth (the Mining Act), as amended, and other related acts, which were effective from 16th March 2021. Through this Act, the provisions of Section 14d entitled “Raw Materials Policy” were added to the Mining Act. Its purpose was to explicitly enshrine the legal framework for this conceptual instrument in the field of protection and use of mineral wealth and to adjust the method of its design, approval and evaluation.
