The first part of the chapter deals with the problem of whether the historical documents regarding Johannes Jessenius that are available can provide evidence to back up the Gilder`s statements on the alleged murder of Tycho Brahe by Johannes Kepler. Thefinal part deals with other aspects of the relationship between the two scholars, mainly the influence of Johannes Jessenius on Kepler`s new optics.
