Der vorliegende Aufsatz konzentriert sich auf die Person Jesu Christi im Jakobusbrief. Die Arbeit gliedert sich in 3 Teile. Die Aufmerksamkeit ist zuerst auf die zwei Stellen Jak 1,1 und 2,1, wo der Name Jesus Christus erscheint, konzentriert. Zweitens werden die Texte mit Kyrios-Bezeichnung, die auf Jesus Christus (Jak 5,7.8.14.15) angewandt wird, analysiert. Schließlich wird es untersucht, ob es noch einige andere Stellen im Jakobusbrief vorkommen, die christologischen Aussagen enthalten. Möglicherweise ist sogar auch in Jak 4,15 („wenn der Herr will“) an Jesus Christus gedacht; doch lässt sich das nicht beweisen. Letztlich befindet sich in Jak 2,7, wo der „gute Name“ erwähnt wird, „der über euch ausgerufen worden ist“, einer Aussage, die die Taufe „im Namen Jesu“ voraussetzt. Aus der Analyse der Texte im Jakobusbrief, die sich auf Jesus Christus beziehen, lässt sich die Schlussfolgerung ziehen, dass der Jakobusbrief vom ersten Vers an ein theozentrisches und christologisches Schreiben ist. Im Jakobusbrief gehören Gott und Jesus Christus eben bei der Beibehaltung ihrer Unterschiedenheit zusammen, wie die beabsichtigte innere Verknüpfung von Theologie und Christologie hervorhebt. Während im Blickwinkel des Jakobusbriefes die Niedrigkeit des auf Erden gekreuzigten Jesus ganz abwesend ist, ist es darin bedeutend, dass der erhöhte und verherrlichte Christus (Jak 2,1) hervorgehoben wird, dessen Kommen als eschatologischer Richter (Jak 5,9) am Ende der Zeit (Jak 5,7-8) erwartet wird.

This paper is focused on the person of Jesus Christ in the Letter of James and is divided into three parts. In the first section attention is paid to Jas 1:1 and 2:1, where the name Jesus Christ appears. Secondly the texts with the Kyrios title, which is used to refer to Jesus Christ, are analysed. Finally there is an inquiry into the question whether or not some other passages occur in the Letter of James which contain Christological utterances. Possibly even Jas 4:15 (“if the Lord wills it”) may be about Jesus Christ, although this is not possible to prove. Lastly we find in Jas 2:7 the formulation about “the excellent name that was invoked over you”, which supposes baptism “in the name of Jesus”. On the basis of the analysis of the texts of the Letter of James which refer to Jesus Christ, it is possible to conclude that the Letter of James, from the very first verse, is a theocentric and Christological text. In the Letter of James, God and Jesus Christ belong to one another even by preservation of their dissimilarity, how the deliberated inner connection of theology and Christology emphasizes. The lowliness of the crucified Jesus is totally absent in the Letter of James, whereas the risen and glorified Christ (Jas 2:1), whose coming as eschatological judge (Jas 5:9) at the end of time (Jas 5:7-8) is expected is significantly highlighted.
