Sacramento dell’altare nei catechismi di Lutero. Una lettura teologico-fondamentale

Il contributo esamina la dottrina eucaristica elaborata nel Piccolo e nel Grande Catechismo (1529) da Martin Lutero. La prospettiva interpretativa di tale elaborazione è quella propria della teologia fondamentale. Il contributo, infatti, concentrerà l’attenzione al tema come Lutero intende il rapporto tra il Sacramento dell’altare e la Rivelazione, ossia la reale presenzializzazione di Dio per la salvezza del credente. Da una parte si mostra che Lutero ha una dottrina eucaristica fondata ontologicamente e che questa contiene elementi che garantiscono una concezione del tutto essenziale del sacramento. Dall’altra parte si mostra come la centralità della Parola di Dio fa del Sacramento dell’altare uno strumento del darsi del Dio trinitario, necessario per la giustificazione.

Sacrament of the altar in Luther's catechisms. A theological-fundamental reading

The contribution examines the Eucharistic doctrine elaborated in the Small and Large Catechism (1529) by Martin Luther. The interpretative perspective of this elaboration is that of fundamental theology. In fact, the contribution will focus on how Luther understands the relationship between the Sacrament of the altar and Revelation, i.e. God&apos;s real presentiation for the salvation of the believer. On the one hand, it will be shown that Luther has an ontologically founded doctrine of the Eucharist and that this contains elements that guarantee a completely essential understanding of the sacrament. On the other hand, it is shown how the centrality of the Word of God makes the Sacrament of the altar an instrument of the giving of the triune God, necessary for justification.
