Fifteen isolates of Pseudoperonospora cubensis, collected during the year 2001 in nine Czech regions, were used for surveying of fungicide-resistance and/or tolerance. In addition 3 isolates collected in 1988, 1995 and 1996 in the Czech Republic were screened too. The effectivity of three fungicides (Ridomil Plus 48 WP /effective substance oxychlorid Cu, metalaxyl/, Aliette 80 WP /e.s. fosetyl-Al/ and Previcur 607 SL /e.s. propamocarb/) were tested. The floating discs bioassay was used for this purpose.Previcur 607 SL appeared the most effective, the tested isolates responded sensitively to all fungicide concentrations (0.1-1.6%). The high effectiveness of Aliette 80 WP (0.05-0.80%) was proved as well. However, limited or full sporulation of isolate 17/01 (from Liběšice near Litoměřice) on lower concentrations (0.05-0.1%) of Aliette was recorded.
