The analytical maps represent individual specific, measurable or observable facts that can be mono-thematic or poly-thematic. The complex maps express targeted phenomenon as a complex system, which currently consists of individual components having certain properties important from the perspective of the whole. The synthetic maps represent data and characteristics derived through processes of thought, abstraction, generalization and synthesis of elementary data. The synthetic maps contain more cumulative information than the analytical or complex maps. Despite the advantages of synthetic maps for users' profits, most of the current produced maps are analytical maps, in a lesser extent, complex maps. The main objective of the paper is to define, describe and demonstrate possibilities of using SOA for the map synthesis.
