The isomorphism between the Moran-Hutchinson formula for the computation of the self-similarity dimension and the basic laws of quantitative linguistics due to Menzerath-Altmann and Zipf-Mandelbrot are clasified in detail. Its practical usage for the fractal analysis of language structure is presented. Such an application is ilustrated by a concrete example.
