The description applies to the substituted derivatives of 2-(3-phenyl-ureido)-benzamide with general formula I, where R1 is hydrogen, amino group, (C1 to C5)alkyl, (C2 to C5)alkenyl or (C2 to C5)alkynyl, possibly substituted by a hydroxy or amino group, R2 is hydrogen, halogen, methoxy group or halogenated methoxy group and R3 is selected from a group including hydrogen, halogen, methoxy group or trifluoromethoxy group, R4 is selected from a group including halogen, methoxy group or trifluoromethoxy group, which inhibit one of key plant enzymes cytokinin oxidase/dehydrogenase (CKX). The use of these substances in agriculture as biostimulants of growth, development and yield of plants is also described, to increase their resistance against stress and delay senescence of plants and the use of preparations containing such compounds.
