Implementation of linear-optical controlled-phase gate with programmable phase shift
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This reasearch report summarizes the implementation of a tunable optical controlled-phase gate with a programmable phase was carried out. The reactivation and precise alignment of a three-photon source were performed. The source was based on the generation of two photons via spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a BBO crystal and a third photon obtained by attenuating the fundamental component of the pump laser. The setup was configured as a primary source of correlated photon pairs with tunable separability in time and polarization. The optimization of the source was achieved by observing the Hong–Ou–Mandel effect. The photons were directed onto a beam splitter and detected in separate detectors in coincidence measurements. Depending on the relative temporal delay between the photons, an interference dip with visibility of up to 96% was observed, confirming high-quality spatial, temporal, and polarization overlap. The source was subsequently employed in an experimental branch for measurements of three-photon interference with a pump beam of tunable polarization.
