The knight's tour on an 8 × 8 chessboard is one of the best-known mathematical chessproblems, and it is attractive also for pupils aged 6 to 11. This problem has been resolvedgenerally for the chessboard ???? × ????; thus, the question arises as to which knight's tours are theshortest. These knight's tours can be interesting even for younger students because they won'tspend too much time trying to solve them. We will study both open and closed knight's tours.
