Analysis of the top level volleyball men's match results confirmed that the best servers are players with the spike serve. Effectiveness of the jump serve is determined by the stability of its implementation (optimal height, length, direction etc). In this contribution the intra-individual variability of selected jump serve toss parameters in five best servers of the European Senior Men's Volleyball Championships 2001 was determined. Jump serve analysis confirmed a high stability of the toss height, height of the hit and the time interval between tossing and hitting the ball. The least stability was shown in the hitting point distance from the base line.
