The purpose of the study was to evaluate the influence of varying speed of horse's walk in hippotherapy on selected movement points on the rider's body. We attempted to ascertain correlations between the walk speed and motor response of the rider.The group under study comprised of three horses and one rider. 3-D videography was used to establish the kinematic characteristics in selected parts of the rider's body. Further, we evaluated the changes in their pattern in relation to different speed of the horse-walk. The gathered results show that the breed of the horse and common morphological characteristics affects the rider's motor response in a similar way.
