Philosophy of sport has not been indulged in long in the Czech Republic due to the ideological framework of all humanistic disciplinesduring the period from World War II to the end of the eighties. TheEuropean Meeting is an opportunity to summarize existing outcomes of thecultivation and development of philosophy of sport in the Czech Republicfrom the beginning of the nineties to the present time. The study analyzes, in its relatively brief preliminary part, any of thepossible names used to grasp the notion of movement activities byphilosophical means. It recapitulates arguments for the use of thecollocation philosophy of sport, which it evaluates as being too narrow,(although it is anchored as a habit of speech and that not only in theAnglophone language environment) and philosophy of physical culture (which on the contrary one senses to be too wide). It argues for thechoice of philosophical kinanthropology as a balanced solution andapproach, which can then be inclu
