Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
School physical education (PE) is an important component for promoting healthy physical activity (PA) patterns during childhood and adolescence. However, proportion of school PE in daily PA was not sufficiently examined. Contribution of activity energy expenditure spent in PE and organized sport was examined in Czech adolescents (855 girls and 585 boys) aged 12-19. Activity energy expenditure was assessed by using the accelerometer Caltrac and individual 7-day logs. The share of activity energy expenditure contributed by PE significantly (p<0.02) increased with advancing age of girls and boys. An age-related proportion of activity energy expenditure spent in PE is higher in girls in comparisons boys in all age categories (10:7% aged 11.5-13.4, 13:11% aged 13.5-15.4, 17:10% aged 15.5-17.4, and 19:11% aged 17.5-19.4). Girls proportion of activity energy expenditure spent in organized sport is considerable higher than in boys aged 17.5-19.4 (22.1% vs. 14.7%). PE and organized sport marked
