Surface poly-EMG assessment of various patterns of muscle activation during gait in patients with prosthesis below the knee
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of our study was to observe patterns of muscle activation in persons with below the knee amputation. A registration of muscle activation was performed in muscles in the lower limb without amputation, in the lower limb with amputation and in the lower trunk. We tried to compare patterns of muscle activation in patients with below the knee amputation with the use of two different types of prostheses (prosthesis I- ankle fixed, prosthesis II- ankle flexible). We studied the duration of the stance and swing phases.Muscle activity was registered with the use of 8-channel surface polyelectromyography during walking at the subject's own natural pace and during a speed of 104 stride/min on a carpet with contact sensors. In the group of subjects under study were 11 males with below the knee amputation of one leg (mean age 46.1 years, mean weight 82.5 kg). We tested four muscles by means of surface polyelectromyography (vastus medialis, biceps femoris, gluteus maximus and erector spinae
