Even though Italy and the Czech Republic are both located in Europe and their systems of law come out of the same ancient source, the situation in both countries is completely different nowdays. Basics of the Italian commercial law are involved in the general codification called Codice Civile together with a regulation of labour law, family law or ownership. In contrary, the Commercial Code is the main source of the Czech commercial law and this code contains only matters relating to business activities. The aim of this paper is to introduce legal regulation and character of business companies in the Italian law and also to emphasize interesting features of this regulation.
