The objective of this paper are (1) to identify both theoretically and empirically the term commercial risk, (2) to present the research results of the content analysis of structured interviews with selected Czech exporters to China and (3) to put the basis for further research in the field of international trading relations between the Czech Republic and China. On the basis of the research findings, the recommendations for minimizing the commercial risks are provided.
