Comparing the views on tuition fee introduction of Brno university students

The introduction of tuition fees has been a much-discussed topic in the Czech Republic over the last years. In a questionnaire survey, Brno university students were asked on their views about the introduction of tuition fees. Simultaneously, we were interested if the students from different universities have different opinions on this topic. Among others, an analysis of this survey determined whether the payment of tuition fees would be far too costly for the students and whether they would be more motivated to finish their studies in due time. Using the questionnaire, the relations between the studied universities in Brno, the opinion on the introduction of the tuition, total month costs of students, the opinion how students view their studies at university and the level of tuition students would agree with were examined. Opinions of variously aged students with different level of their household's income were assessed.
