The article is focused on funding systems in healthcare systems in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The main objective of this article is to compare healthcare systems in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The system of public health insurance in the Czech Republic will be created as a basic system and the market model of health care in the USA will be compared. The partial goal will be to analyse obstetrics in both countries and to compare their cost parts. Further objectives will be the analysis of salaries in the health sector, assessment of the advantages and weaknesses of the financing system in both countries, overall comparison of the health care system and recommendations for each health system.
