AI-assisted creation and evaluation of academic IT projects
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the educational landscape and offers significant time savings for students and teachers. However, this convenience raises questions about the effectiveness and reliability of AI-generated projects and their evaluations. This chapter investigates the use of generative AI for creating and evaluating IT projects focused on network device configuration, specifically Cisco and MikroTik devices. The study assesses whether students can generate network configurations using AI to meet course requirements and evaluates the accuracy of AI in grading student projects or exams. The methodology includes comparing AI-generated configurations and AI-evaluated student work with those produced and assessed by teachers. The results show that, while AI can produce viable network configurations and assist in evaluations, discrepancies in grading accuracy and task complexity highlight the need for teacher oversight. This research contributes to understanding the potential and limitations of generative AI in educational settings, emphasising the need for a balanced integration of AI tools to enhance learning and exam processes.
