Using atomic absorption spectrophptometry, the content two heavy metals (Pb, Cd), in the strobila of the adult tapeworm specimens L. intestinalis (L), was determined. The same heavy metals were also determined in the liver and the muscles of the host Ph.carbo. In the tapeworms biomass the following values of Cd and Pb (in 100 percent dry matter in mg/kg) were determined: Cd=0.92, Pb=1.41. In the host liver tissues Cd=0.51, Pb=0.14. In the muscles of the same host Cd=0.39, Pb=0.35. The results show differences in the values of the content of Pb:Cd in the strobila of the tapeworm, Pb values were higher. The accumulation of Pb:Cd in he muscles of the host is almost similarin the liver totaly different, in Cd about 3.5x higher.
