Evaluation of heat stress of czech fleckvieh-simmental cows by sum of effective temperatures
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This work is targeted on the evaluation of heat stress of Czech fleckvieh-simmental dairy cows by sum of effective temperatures (SET). The experiment for this work took place in summer 2017 on private farm Genagro Říčany. It lasted for three months. The sum of effective temperatures (SET) was calculated from temperatures collected for the whole duration of the experiment. The 114 cows in total was included to this experiment. They were divided to the four groups according to yield-over 25 kg of milk per day (A), 20-24.9 kg of milk per day (B) and less than 19.9 kg of milk per day (C). The fourth group included all cows. The heat stress of cows can be visible on the milk yield. Therefore, the yield and the SET was compared. The correlation between the SET over the 23 oC and a yield was found. The moderate negative correlation (r=-0.479) was found for the most producing group (over 25 kg of milk per day). The least producing group (less than 19.9 kg of milk per day) had almost non-existant negative relationship (r=-0.149). The overall correlation for all groups together was the highest of all (r= -0.520) This supports the previous statement of earlier works of the authors.
