Organic Farming Form the Economic Perspective - The Impact of Subsidy Policy on the Economic Results
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The contribution presents the outcomes of the research regarding the subsidies of the organic agriculture of the Czech Republic. The development between years 2001 and 2012 has showed increasing subsidy share on the cost covering of the organic agriculture and, form these perspective, has increased the difference between organic and conventional agriculture companies. The level and development of the subsidies have, on the one hand, motivated the interest on the organic agriculture and contributed to the financial stability of the branch. On the other hand however, has brought also negative moments - lowered the involvement of the organic farms in the economic efficiency and distort the income parity in the agriculture. The impact of the price transmission in the produced and retail chain of food on the farmers' incomes was compensate by the subsidies. This compensation is different in the conventional and organic farms and has not contributed to the income parity. Regarding the facts mentioned above as well as the share of the organic agriculture on the total agriculture of the Czech Republic compared to the other European states, there is a question of further development of the level of the Czech and European organic agriculture subsidies level and its focus on the organic farming productivity.
