El presente texto reflexiona, por un lado, sobre la posición de la academia en la sociedad contemporánea, y, por el otro,analiza los diversos roles de las universidades, en relación con su contribución a la implementación de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). Para ilustrar algunos ejemplos de buenas prácticas que pueden servir de inspiración, sepresenta el consorcio Unidos para el Desarrollo de la Amazonía (UNIDA). En concreto, se presta atención a la evaluación de algunas de sus actividades realizadas durante la primera fase de la implementación de una serie de diversos proyectos académicos desarrollados por los miembros del consorcio entre los años 2019 y 2021.

This text reflects, on the one hand, on the position of academia in contemporary society and, on the other hand, analyzes the various roles of universities in relation to their contribution to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To illustrate some examples of good practices that can serve as inspiration, the United for the Development of the Amazon (UNIDA) consortium is presented. Specifically, attention is given to the evaluation of some of its activities carried out during the first phase of the implementation, a series of various academic projects developed by the consortium members between the years 2019 and 2021.
