The firs step at assessing silvicultural systems consists in economic evaluation of the time period of stand development, which is characterized by greatest cost and lowest yield activities. This is the pertiod from the beginning of stand regeneration tothe stabilized forest crop. One of possibilities of the economic appraisal is the utilization of a systém of indicators which correspond to the cost, yield and functional aspeects of activities representing the scope of forest management.
