The afforestation of agricultural areas was carried out in the cadastral area "Horní Loděnice" (CR, Olomouc) in 2005. The article presents the valuation of landscape improvement at afforested areas. The aim of the solution is quantification (comparison)of functional effects after afforestation and in the estimated rotation period for expressing functional value increase of newly established ecosystems. The method of Quantification and Evaluation of forest functions by professor Vyskot was used for theevaluation. The results are presented as a financial expression of actual functional effects value at afforested areas in the present and estimated status (at the points of 25%, 50% and 100% of rotation period). The results show that all-society functionvalue increases distinctly through the entire time of rotation period.
