Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper evaluates the root system development and health condition in declining spruce trees on a very acidic site of FAVZ 6 in the Bohemian-Moravian Upland. Analyses of stands aged 5 -- 68 years indicated that a prediposition factor of the damage is the small root system of the trees and a triggering factor is drought which further deepens the disbalance of nutrients, inhibiting the development and diameter growth of roots. Fine roots move to upper humus horizons, their biomass being reduced and vitality impaired.
