The stability of circular sawblades substantially determines the behaviour parameters in the course of sawing. The basic problem in dimensioning large-area boards is to keep the good quality of saw kerf and the workpiece dimensions. The aim of the paperis to present information on the effect of resonance rpm on energy parameters (moment and cutting force). Also other methods are analysed to find out optimum working conditions of dimension circular sawblades. Results are documented by diagrams obtainedwithin a research plan dealt with at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno.
