The results of the project "Tools of regional forest management planning in Ukraine"

The project "Tools of regional forest management planning in Ukraine" was aimed to use Czech regional forest management plan methodology in Ukrainian forests, and to build an information system of Ukrainian forests. There were completed "Regional forestmanagement plan" in the study area -- Chripilivskoe, Buchtivěckoe and Gorskoje lisničestvo in Nadvirnjanskoj goslechoz in Ivano-Frankivsk area (about 10 000 ha). The plan can be used as an example of forest management, which connect principles of sustainable development with complete utilization of forest ecosystem. The ground of the system is information about forest site. There was used the landscape geobiocoenological typology for it. There were mapped all superstructural units of geobiocoenologicaltypification of the landscape. There were specified principles of the forest management, forest planning, forest preservation and was created project of forest road network on the basis of results of geobiocoenological survey.
