The contribution investigates the problematic of VOC emissions. In the article there were monitored emissions emitted by the materials made from wood. Different types of wood, particle board and medium density fiberboard have been chosen as the tested samples for comparing from the point of emitted chemical compounds. The results were evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative differences of all emitted organic compounds showed the measured values of TVOC. Repeating of measurements showedthe dependency of amount emissions time. All results were compared with limits mandated in the standards of Ministry Of Health of Czech republic
