The book deals with the establishment of the coppice and coppice with standards forest research objects under the project "Biodiversity and Target Management of Endangered and Protected Species in Coppice Forests and Coppice with Standards Forests Included in System of NATURA 2000" (named TARMAG I and TARMAG II). It summarizes reasoning which preceded the selection of the research plot and provides a detailed description of experimental site establishment methodology. It specifies rules of harvesting which has been planned with the objective to simulate the impact of coppice and coppice-with-standards forests on biodiversity of endangered and protected species. It also describes stand condition prior to and after the implemented harvesting, with additional emphasis on coppice-with-standards forests. Individual harvesting variants which have been implemented are characterized by indexes of release rate of potential standards and by varying harvesting intensity based on qualitative chara
