This paper deals with the issue of a healthy residential environment. It mainly addresses the question of reducing the emission impurities from cigarette smoke using controlled air-ionization. The contemporary residential environment is usually pollutednot only by various volatile substances, but also by various pollutants from cigarette smoke. Controlled air-ionization represents one of the possible methods to fight this kind of pollution.
