Quantification of the Local Expenditures of Forests of Pisek City Ltd.

This article deals with partial results of the project "Quantification of the Effect of the Selected Forest Enterprise on the Local Economy of the Region" of the "Internal Grant Agency" (IGA) of Mendel University in Brno 2016 which is solved by the Department of Forest and Wood Products Economics and Policy and the Department of Landscape Management. The article concentrates on quantification of the local expenditures necessary for the calculation of the local multiplier score. The economic indicators to be analysed were the local expenditures of Forests of Pisek City Ltd. on suppliers and employees in 2015. The local multiplier is a specific microeconomic indicator which enables quantification and evaluation of the socioeconomic benefits of the selected operator to the local people and entrepreneurs. The results of the project will allow for the evaluation of the effect of the special- purpose forest enterprise and forest management on the economic and social development as well as for investigation of the potential cash flows related to fulfilment of the socio-economic functions of the forest ecosystems in the interest area of Forests of Pisek City Ltd.
